La Trobe Family Violence Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following the serious assault of three people in Tyers on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to a property on Cowies Road following reports two men and a woman had been seriously injured about 12.30pm.
Two men, aged 76 and 47, were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries where they remain in a stable condition.
A 74-year-old woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries and remains in a stable condition.
Police conducted an extensive search for a 48-year-old Tyers man before he was located in the vicinity of Tyers-Walhalla Road on Tuesday 8 September just before 9pm.
The man was taken into custody and has since been charged with three counts of intentionally cause serious injury.
He will appear before La Trobe Valley Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
It is alleged the parties are known to each other.
