Man charged after two pedestrians struck in Geelong

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after two pedestrians were struck by a car in Geelong yesterday.

It is alleged a green Audi deliberately collided with two men walking along Police Lane just before 7am.

The vehicle fled the scene.

A 26-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries and a 21-year-old man with minor injuries were both taken to hospital.

Investigators located the Audi in Thomson and arrested a 22-year-old man near the scene.

The Thomson man has been charged with the following:

  • reckless conduct endangering life
  • intentionally cause injury
  • attempt to Intentionally cause injury
  • drive in manner dangerous
  • fail to stop after accident
  • fail to render assistance
  • possess cannabis

He will appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.
