A man was arrested after a large quantity of drugs and cash were located in a car intercepted by Wallan uniform police in Beveridge on 8 May.
Police pulled over a Holden Colorado driving along Old Sydney Road, about 9pm.
A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 1kg of cocaine, a quantity of amphetamine and up to $100k cash.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was arrested at the scene.
Officers and detectives from the Mitchell Crime Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at an address on Stanley Street in Wallan as part of their ongoing investigation.
The property was searched and police seized:
- approximately 2kg cocaine
- a credit card gun
- ammunition
- drug paraphernalia
A 34-year-old Wallan man was charged with traffick large commercial quantity of cocaine, deal with proceeds of crime and offences against the Firearms Act.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 2 August.
