Man charged following 2022 Mildura fatal stabbing

Detectives from the Homicide Squad have charged a man following a fatal stabbing in Mildura in 2022.

A 26-year-old Mildura man was charged with murder on 15 August.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 7 November.

The man was initially arrested in Renmark on 23 May, 2022 and charged by South Australia Police with unrelated matters.

He has been in custody in South Australia since that time.

The charge follows an incident on 21 May, 2022 where a 36-year-old Mildura man was taken to hospital having been stabbed, however he died a short time later.

It’s believed the parties involved were known to each other.
