Man charged with murder following Hamilton death

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man with murder following the discovery of a woman’s body at a property in Hamilton Thursday evening.

The 48-year-old man appeared before court on Saturday 17 May and was remanded in custody.

The charges follow the death of a woman who was found at a property on the Henty Highway after police conducted a welfare check on 15 May about 7.30pm.

It is believed the parties were known to each other.

The Hamilton man will appear before Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22 August.
