Man struck by vehicle in Kew East

Police are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle in Kew East this morning.

It is believed the man, who had pulled over shortly before the incident, was struck by a vehicle travelling along the Eastern Freeway about 5am.

Sadly, the yet-to-be identified man died at the scene.

At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the man leaving his vehicle remain unclear.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has been spoken to by police.
