Mooroopna police wanting to know if this church theft rings any bells

Police are investigating after a 100-year-old bell was stolen from a church in Mooroopna earlier this month.

It is understood that unknown offenders stole the bell from the rear yard of the premises on Alexandra Street sometime between 19-26 April.

It is not known how the bell, which weighs approximately 100kg, was removed from the church.

There were no attempts made to access the church and no other items stolen.

The investigation is ongoing.
