Motorcyclist dies following Newcombe crash

A man has died following a crash in Newcombe this morning.

Emergency services responded to reports a motorbike crashed on Portarlington Road about 1.45am.

The rider, a 31-year-old Moolap man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Geelong Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
