Brimbank Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses and motorists with dashcam to come forward following a serious collision in Keilor this morning.

It is believed a motorcycle collided with two cars and a tipper truck on the Calder Freeway about 8.50am.

The force of the collision, which occurred inbound between Green Gully Road and the Maribyrnong River, threw the 21-year-old motorcyclist underneath the rear dog trailer of the truck.

He sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

The metallic-silver coloured truck continued east along the Calder Freeway and it is unclear if the driver was aware of the collision.

There were no other injuries.

Investigators are urging anyone who was driving along the Calder Freeway at the time of the collision who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an online confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
