Murder charge following Geelong death

Detective from the Homicide Squad have this afternoon charged a man with murder following the death of a man in Geelong in February.

A 31-year-old Breakwater man was arrested in West Geelong around 9am.

He has since been charged with one count of murder.

The man will appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court later today.

The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called to a hospital on Ryrie Street about 2am on Monday, 23 February.

Officers located a 31-year-old Highton man deceased inside a room at the facility.
