Police have released further CCTV footage of missing 96-year-old man David, and are urging those travelling to the Yarra Ranges area this weekend to look out for him and his vehicle.
Sunday will mark three weeks since David was last seen and new CCTV shows his vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Camry sedan bearing registration TCG818, at a service station in Healesville on 10 May.
David attempted to enter the service station on Maroondah Highway, Healesville about 11.10pm, but left as it was closed.
His car had previously been sighted around 10pm in the Lilydale and Ringwood areas.
David is not familiar with the Lilydale or Healesville areas and his family believe he was lost.
A smart tag was fixed to David’s vehicle and data suggests he had likely been driving around in circles between Melbourne’s CBD and the Lilydale area.
The smart tag has not provided an updated location for David’s vehicle since.
Investigators established David was last seen in person at a licenced venue near the corner of Lonsdale Street and Cohen Place in the CBD about 7.30pm on 10 May.
It is believed David left the venue in his silver 2004 Toyota Camry sedan, heading in an easterly direction.
Police and family have serious concerns for David’s welfare due to his age, a medical condition and the length of time he has been missing.
David has been missing on two previous occasions in 2023. He was located in Melbourne’s CBD in a confused state.
He is Asian, with a thin build, balding grey hair and was last seen wearing a beige baseball cap, green and navy puffer jacket and dark pants.
David does not have his mobile phone and has access to a small amount of money.
Anyone with information on David’s whereabouts or the whereabouts of his vehicle is urged to contact Triple Zero (000) or Doncaster Police Station on (03) 8841 3999.
