Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a third man following an alleged attempted aggravated burglary in Narre Warren North on Monday morning.
It is alleged three men were seen trying to break into a property on Fontaine Terrace about 2.30am on 25 May.
Officers responded within three minutes and, with assistance from the Dog Squad, arrested two men nearby.
A third man was arrested after surrendering to an approaching police dog.
A knife, baton, drugs of dependence and backpack were seized at the scene.
Yesterday, a 23-year-old Dandenong man and a 45-year-old Narre Warren man were interviewed, charged and remanded.
Their charges included drugs, aggravated burglary and theft offences.
Since then, after attending hospital for a dog bite, a 37-year-old Narre Warren man has been charged with drugs, weapons and theft offences.
He is remanded to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.
