Pedestrian dies following Footscray collision

Police are investigating after a fatal collision in Footscray last month.

Emergency services were called to reports a car had struck a pedestrian on Droop Street about 11.50am on 20 April.

A 74-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where he died on 13 May.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
