Police arrest man after on-duty paramedic stabbed in Reservoir

Police have arrested a man after an on-duty paramedic was stabbed in Reservoir this morning.

It is alleged the paramedic was stabbed outside a café on Broadway just after 11am.

Investigators will allege a man got out of a small, red car and stabbed the paramedic to the upper body before fleeing in the vehicle.

The male paramedic was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The man was arrested at a property in Winter Crescent in Reservoir just before 1pm.

The 32-year-old man is currently in custody where he will be interviewed by detectives.
