Fawkner Divisional Response Unit detectives are investigating two armed robberies in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Two male offenders arrived at a service station on Hume Highway in Craigieburn in a white Volvo V60 about 10.50pm on Sunday, 20 April.
It is understood they jumped over the counter, one armed with a machete, and stole cigarettes from behind the counter and cash from the tills.
Police were told the offenders attempted to enter another service station on Hanson Road in Craigieburn prior to the incident but were unsuccessful.
It is believed the same offenders entered a fast-food restaurant on Vineyard Road in Sunbury about 12.25am on 21 April.
They approached the counter and stole a till, then fled the scene.
The two males left in a white Volvo which was waiting outside.
No one was physically injured during the incidents.
The two offenders and the driver of the Volvo remain outstanding at this stage.
The vehicle was stolen from Brighton East and has since been recovered in Berwick.
Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of two people they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed any of the incidents, with dashcam/CCTV footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
