Police are investigating an unprovoked assault on a woman in Preston on Saturday, 13 December.
Investigators have been told a woman was walking her dog on a footpath on Bruce Street around 3.45pm.
An unknown man with a baby stroller and a dog was blocking the path and the woman requested that he move.
The man became agitated and struck her twice to the face before leaving the area.
The victim, a 39-year-old Preston woman, walked to the police station to report the matter.
She suffered significant bruising and swelling to her face and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his mid-30s, ginger blonde/red hair, 183cm tall, grey/mustard coloured singlet with knee length dark blue shorts.
He was with a tan coloured dog and a had a black stroller, it is not known if anything was in the stroller.
