Police investigate Brunswick shooting

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating following a non-fatal shooting in Brunswick early this morning.

Officers responded to reports a male had been shot at a Wilson Street residence about 3am on Thursday, 30 April.

The 17-year-old from Brunswick was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While the exact circumstances are still to be determined, it is believed a group of males had attended the property and the male was shot.

The group fled the scene prior to police arrival and despite a thorough search of the area, the offenders were not located.

Police believe the incident was targeted and a crime scene has been established at the residence.
