Police investigate fire at Richmond car dealership

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a car dealership in Richmond overnight.

It is believed up to three offenders smashed their way into the premises on Swan Street about 11.20pm on 21 May.

Once inside, offenders used accelerant to light the fire before fleeing in a vehicle.

Thankfully, two cleaners who were inside the premises at the time were not injured.

The building sustained minor damage.

A crime scene has been established and the investigation is ongoing.
