Police investigate Geelong death

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Geelong overnight.

Emergency services were called to a hospital on the corner of Myers and Swanston streets about 2am.

Officers located a 31-year-old Highton man deceased inside a room at the facility.

Another man, also a patient at the hospital, is currently under police guard.

The parties were known to each other.
