Police are investigating a collision in Preston this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports two cars had collided at the intersection of Murray Road and Albert Street about 2.45am.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 38-year-old Kensington man, was transported to hospital under police guard in a critical condition.
The passenger of that vehicle, a 28-year-old Coburg man, was transported to hospital under police guard with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 41-year Preston woman, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
