Police investigate St Albans stabbing

Detectives from Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit are investigating after three males were seriously injured after an altercation in St Albans yesterday.

It is understood two males, a 17-year-old and 23-year-old, met a 17-year-old boy at Highcombe Crescent Reserve as part of a marketplace exchange just before 1.20pm.

A physical altercation between the trio occurred, leaving all three with stab wounds.

The 17-year-old and 23-year-old fled in a vehicle, before they called Triple Zero (000) and police located them nearby on Ruth Street.

They were both taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain in a stable condition.

The other 17-year-old contacted Triple Zero (000) before police located him at the reserve with serious injuries.

He remains in hospital and is expected to be charged on summons to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident and an investigation into the circumstances are ongoing.
