Police investigate two sexual assaults in St Kilda

Bayside Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for public assistance following two sexual assaults in St Kilda in March.

It is understood an unknown man approached a 22 year-old woman who was walking along Alma Road about 7.30am on 24 March.

The next day, the same man approached 35 year-old woman who was walking on Chapel Street about 2pm.

In both incidents, the man sexually assaulted the women before fleeing the scene on foot.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and is of thin build. He is balding and appears to be in his 30’s.

On Tuesday 24 March, he was seen wearing black pants, a black jacket and a white t shirt with a black and red logo on the front.

On Wednesday 25 March, the man was seen wearing black pants and a black t-shirt with a white logo on the back.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe might be able to assist with their enquiries.
