Declaration of Designated Place under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act
I, Robert John HILL, a Deputy Commissioner, declare, under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 (Act), the following location as a designated place.
The declared designated place will be in effect from 10am on 26 January, 2026 to 11.59pm 28 February, 2026 inclusive.
I am satisfied of the matters specified in sections 3A(3)(a)-(c) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 in making this declaration.
Boundary of the Designated Place
The area that is declared to be a designated place is all public places within Westfield Southland Shopping Centre, Cheltenham, being the area bordered by (and inclusive of):
- south and west from intersection of Tennyson Street and Karen Street to intersection of Karen Street and Nepean Highway
- continue west from Nepean Highway and Bay Road to intersection of Bay Road and railway tracks
- south along eastern perimeter of railway tracks to intersection of Garfield Lane
- east to intersection of Garfield Lane and Nepean Highway
- south to intersection of Nepean Highway and Jamieson Street
- east and south to intersection of Jamieson Street and Chesterville Road
- north to intersection of Chesterville Road and Tennyson Street
- north to intersection of Tennyson Street and Karen Street.
