Declaration of Designated Place under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act

I, Robert John HILL, a Deputy Commissioner, declare, under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 (Act), the following location as a designated place.

The declared designated place will be in effect from 10am on 26 January, 2026 to 11.59pm 28 February, 2026 inclusive.

I am satisfied of the matters specified in sections 3A(3)(a)-(c) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 in making this declaration.

Boundary of the Designated Place

The area that is declared to be a designated place is all public places within Watergardens Shopping Centre, Taylors Lakes, being the area bordered by (and inclusive of):

  • north from intersection of Galatea Court and Kings Road to intersection of Kings Road and Melton Highway
  • west to intersection of Melton Highway and far western entrance to Watergardens Circuit Road
  • south to roundabout, then west and south-west to next roundabout bordering all north-western car parks, Watergardens Circuit Road
  • south to second roundabout Watergardens Circuit Road
  • east and north to intersection of Watergardens Circuit Road and Galatea Court
  • east to intersection of Galatea Court and Kings Road.
