Declaration of the Designated Place under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act 2013

I, Robert J. HILL, Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations, declare under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 (Act), the following location as a designated place.

I am satisfied of the matters specified in sections 3A(3)(a)-(c) of the Act in making this declaration.

Boundary of the Designated Place

The area that is declared to be a designated place is all public places within Westfield Geelong and Market Square Shopping Centres, Geelong, being the area bordered by (and inclusive of):

• east from intersection of Moorabool Street and Little Malop Street to intersection of Little Malop Street and Yarra Street
• north to intersection of Yarra Street and Malop Street
• east along Malop Street to furthest eastern property boundary of Westfield Geelong Shopping Centre that is parallel to Hays Place
• north along Westfield Geelong Shopping Centre boundary to Hays Place
• continue north to the intersection of Hays Place and Corio Street
• west to intersection of Corio Street and Yarra Street
• north to intersection of Yarra Street and Brougham Street
• west to intersection of Brougham Street and Moorabool Street
• south to intersection of Moorabool Street and Little Malop Street.
