Rider dies following Hoppers Crossing collision

Westgate Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal collision in Hoppers Crossing this afternoon.

It is understood a car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of Tarneit and Hogans roads about 12.25pm.

Emergency services worked on the rider, a 56-year-old Werribee man, but he died at the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured and stopped at the scene to assist.
