Brimbank Divisional Response Unit officers have charged six teenagers following an incident in Caroline Springs last week.
Police were called to a shopping centre on Lake Street to reports of a group of teenagers, some allegedly armed with machetes, arguing with one another about 6.40pm on Friday, 6 June.
It is understood the group fled upon police arrival.
No one was injured.
Over two days, Brimbank DRU officers executed a number of search warrants throughout the Brimbank area.
Six machetes were seized during the warrants, and investigators have since charged six teenage boys in relation to the incident.
Two 15-year-old boys from the Brimbank area were both charged with affray.
The pair were bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

A 17-year-old boy from the Brimbank area was charged with affray and possessing a controlled weapon without excuse.
He was bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
