Can't identify a vehicle or find a match?

If a vehicle does not have a registration plate, or you cannot identify an exact match in the search results, do not approach or interfere with it.

If your registration search does not return a match but the vehicle still appears suspicious, try searching using the vehicle's make or model. In some cases, the registration plate displayed on a vehicle may not match the vehicle itself.

If you still suspect the vehicle may be stolen, report its location and any identifying details, such as the make, model, colour or damage, to the Police Assistance Line (131 444) or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

If the vehicle's registration number is not listed as stolen, the vehicle does not appear suspicious, and it appears abandoned without causing a traffic hazard, contact your local council.
