Police have charged three teenagers alleged to have evaded police through the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne this morning.
The trio was first spotted by Operation Trinity units allegedly driving a vehicle bearing stolen registration plates, in Mons Parade Noble Park about 12.45am.
Police attempted to intercept the Mazda BT50 utility before it allegedly sped off.
The Air Wing tracked the vehicle, which travelled through the suburbs of Noble Park, Dandenong, Hallam, Narre Warren, Officer, Tynong, Garfield and Bunyip, before it was dumped near a football reserve in Collette Street in Longwarry.
The trio allegedly ran from the scene but were tracked down by a Dog Squad member and arrested.
A 13-year-old boy from the Baw Baw area was charged with theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods and theft from motor vehicle.
A 15-year-old boy from the Baw Baw area was charged with theft from motor vehicle, handle stolen goods, unlicensed driving, drug possession and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
A 15-year-old girl from the La Trobe area was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
All three were bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
