Third person dies following Ledcourt collision

A third person has died in hospital following a three-vehicle collision in Ledcourt last night.

It is believed two cars and a truck collided on Western Highway, near Mount Drummond Road, about 6.45pm.

Both yet-to-be formally identified occupants of one of the vehicles, an MG ZS, died at the scene.

The 17-year-old male learner driver of a Mitsubishi Triton and his 11-year-old female passenger were airlifted to hospital with minor injuries.

A 14-year-old female passenger of the Mitsubishi was airlifted to hospital where she later died.

A 43-year-old female passenger of the Mitsubishi as well as the 29-year-old truck driver were not injured.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
