Three girls charged after boy assaulted in Geelong

Police have charged three teenagers following an assault in Geelong earlier this week.

It is alleged four female offenders assaulted a 13-year-old boy on Moorabool Street about 5.15pm on Monday, 18 May.

The boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers arrested three 14-year-old girls from the Geelong area yesterday afternoon.

They were all charged with affray and behave in a riotous manner in a public place.

They were bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Police believe the parties were known to each other.

One of the female offenders remains outstanding at this stage and investigations are ongoing.
