Detectives from Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit have charged two men following an alleged arson in Braeside last year.
It is alleged a car was deliberately driven into the front of an automotive business on Tarnard Drive just before 4am on 13 July.
No one was inside the building at the time.
The offenders allegedly set the building alight, dumped the vehicle at the scene and fled.
Following investigations into the incident, police arrested two men.
A 33-year-old Langwarrin man has been charged with 10 offences including criminal damage by fire (arson), theft of motor vehicle (x3), theft (x3) and burglary.
A 28-year-old Carrum Downs man has been charged with 11 offences in total, including criminal damage by fire (arson), theft of motor vehicle (x2), burglary and handle stolen goods.
They were both summonsed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 27 May, 2026.
