Two dead following Dandenong crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal crash in Dandenong this morning.

It is understood a vehicle was travelling along Princes Highway when it lost control and crashed into a tree about 1.20am.

Both occupants of the vehicle died at the scene.


They are yet to be formally identified but believed to be a 38-year-old man and a 19-year-old man from the Dandenong area.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.

Traffic disruptions are expected in the area for most of the morning, with Princes Highway closed in both directions between Robinson and Potter streets.
