Uncontrolled cruising at 195km/hr in Lara

A driver will lose his license after he was caught travelling at an alleged speed of 195km/hr in Lara this morning.

Police spotted the Audi Q5 doing almost double the speed limit on the Princes Freeway about 3.45am.

The male driver was on his way to pick a passenger up to take them to the airport.

He claimed he was trying to set his cruise control.

The 27-year-old Glenroy man’s license will be cancelled for 12 months.

He is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
