Vapes, cigarettes, nicotine and cash seized in Belmont

Police have seized an estimated $110,000 worth of vapes, nicotine and cigarettes in Belmont yesterday.

Officers executed a search warrant at a petrol station on Roslyn Road, arresting two men inside the property.

As a result of the search, officers located and seized 1934 vapes, an estimated 21,000 nicotine pouches, 1980 cigarettes and $42,760 in cash.

A 38-year-old Mount Duneed man and 28-year-old Newcomb man have each been charged with:

  • possess tobacco product
  • possess a schedule 4 poison
  • possess commercial quantity of vaping devices
  • advertise/supply poisons or controlled substance
  • sale of poison or controlled substances by person other than manufactures
  • knowingly deal with proceeds of crime

The pair was bailed to appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 11 December.
