Four youths have been arrested and interviewed following two alleged incidents in Springvale and Noble Park yesterday evening.

Investigators have been told that four youths, one allegedly wearing a balaclava, approached three teenage boys near a secondary college in Springvale about 7.30pm.

It is understood that an altercation occurred before they left the scene.

Investigators are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident which was witnessed by members of the public attending a graduation at the college.

It is alleged that later that evening the offenders attended Yarraman Railway Station in Noble Park and attempted to rob a male of his headphones.

The victim fled the scene and contacted police.

Police, including the Air Wing, swarmed the area and located four alleged offenders in a Holden sedan.

They were arrested and a search located three large knives.

A 19-year-old Mount Waverley man, a 17-year-old boy and two 15-year-old boys, all from Melbourne's eastern suburbs, were interviewed by detectives.

One of the 15-year-old boys has been charged with weapons offences and was bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.

The remaining three youths were released pending further enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
