Variation of declaration of designated place under section 3A(2)
On 24 June 2026, as published on our page Public notices, Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Narre Warren was declared to be a designated place under section 3A(2) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 (the Declaration).
The Declaration declared Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Narre Warren to be a designated place in effect from 8am on 1 July 2026 to 11.59pm on 31 December 2026 inclusive.
The Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations declares that the Declaration will instead end at 11.59pm on 22 October 2026.
As a result, the Declaration will have had effect from 8am on 1 July 2026 to 11.59pm on 22 October 2026.
Designated Place
The area that is declared to be a designated place is all public places within Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Narre Warren, being the area bordered by (and inclusive of):
- the intersection of Magid Drive and Princess Highway
- east to the intersection of Princess Highway and Narre Warren North Road
- north to the intersection of Narre Warren North Road and Monash Freeway
- west to the intersection of Monash Freeway and Magid Drive, and
- south to the intersection of Magid Drive and Princess Highway.
