Submit a compliment

We value our team and appreciate any recognition of their good work and efforts.

We welcome any positive feedback on the performance of any Victoria Police team member. It helps us continue to provide quality service to you, the community.

Make a complaint

Any person may make a complaint about the conduct or behavior of an employee of Victoria Police, which includes PSOs, sworn officers and civilian staff, or any experience with Victoria Police.

You may make the complaint yourself or have someone make it on your behalf, such as a lawyer, community worker or other support person.

Types of complaints

You can lodge a complaint about matters such as:

  • rudeness
  • poor attitude and practice
  • careless or poor service
  • failure to adequately explain police procedures.

We also receive complaints for serious or criminal offences related to:

  • race discrimination
  • corruption
  • misconduct, and 
  • improper conduct, such as:
    • dishonesty
    • harassment
    • unlawful arrest
    • threats
    • excessive or unreasonable use of force.

Victim's Support Agency

You may be eligible to access support through the independent helpline on 1800 819 817.

The helpline is  available from 8.00 am to 11.00 pm, 7 days a week. 

Trained support staff are available to answer to any health or welfare concerns you may have.
