Victoria Police Corporate Plan 2026-2027: Output funding

Victoria Police received additional funding through the 2026-27 Victorian State Budget for initiatives published in the Budget Paper No. 3: Service Delivery.

The initiatives presented below comprise Victoria Police-led initiatives only. The funding amounts presented in the below table exclude depreciation and include internal reprioritisations, consistent with the amounts reported in the Budget Paper No. 3: Service Delivery.

Victoria Police-led initiatives

_{¹ Blue Light Crime Prevention and Early Intervention initiatives have total output funding of $9.4 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2028-29, comprising $8.952 million over three years sourced from the DJCS Early Intervention Investment Framework contingency and $0.506 million over two years sourced through revenue from schools. This funding will be transferred to DJCS to administer this initiative.}

_{² Critical cybercrime and digital forensic storage and software have total output funding of $4.7 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2029-30, with ongoing funding of $1.4 million.}

_{³ Freeing up frontline police through use of police reservists has total output funding of $62.0 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2027-28, with $21.5 million in output revenue in 2026-27 and $29.5 million in 2027-28 to be set aside in contingency.}
