The initiatives presented below comprise Victoria Police-led initiatives only. The funding amounts presented in the below table exclude depreciation and include internal reprioritisations, consistent with the amounts reported in the Budget Paper No. 3: Service Delivery.

1 Blue Light Crime Prevention and Early Intervention initiatives have total output funding of $9.4 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2028-29, comprising $8.952 million over three years sourced from the DJCS Early Intervention Investment Framework contingency and $0.506 million over two years sourced through revenue from schools. This funding will be transferred to DJCS to administer this initiative.
2 Critical cybercrime and digital forensic storage and software have total output funding of $4.7 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2029-30, with ongoing funding of $1.4 million.
3 Freeing up frontline police through use of police reservists has total output funding of $62.0 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2027-28, with $21.5 million in output revenue in 2026-27 and $29.5 million in 2027-28 to be set aside in contingency.
4 Increasing PSO capacity and funding for Operation Pulse has total output funding of $46.6 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2029-30. This includes the funding for the extension for the deployment of PSOs at the shopping centres.
5 Delivering on bail reform for Victoria Police has total output funding of $1.3 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2029-30.
6 Mobile technology for police and evidence recording upgrade provides $14.0 million in output funding to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2029-30. The initiative also includes ongoing annual funding of $3.5 million, including $0.3 million sourced through internal reprioritisation.
7 Police information technology refresh provides Victoria Police with $15.0 million over four years from 2026-27 to 2029-30, with ongoing funding of $2.5 million.
8 Prosecutions at Wyndham Law Courts has total output funding of $6.4 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2028-29.
9 Supporting Victoria Police operations has total output funding of $36.6 million allocated to Victoria Police from 2026-27 to 2029-30. The initiative also includes ongoing annual funding of $5.9 million in new funding and $0.3 million sourced through internal reprioritisation.
10 Sustaining and enhancing the BlueHub police mental health initiative has total output funding of $1.6 million allocated to Victoria Police in 2027-28 only.
11 Victoria Police licensing and registration management system has $18.3 million in output funding allocated from 2026-27 to 2029-30, with the full funding amount currently set aside in contingency.
