Why our values are important
Our ability to serve is founded in our relationship with the community, which willingly gives its permission for us to serve through the powers it entrusts to us. This permission has, at its heart, the community having trust and confidence in Victoria Police.
The cornerstone for building trust and confidence is our commitment to our values.
Our values are central to our being, they define what we stand for, guide how we behave and should underpin every decision and action we take.
How the values live in Victoria Police
Our values are our contract with the Victorian community and each other on how we will act, behave and respect the role entrusted to us.
Our values should live with each of us every day and be visible in every decision we make and action we take.
