Leadership and governance

Our Chief Commissioner, Executive Leadership Board, Police Command, oversight bodies, and standing committees provide strategic direction through robust corporate governance.

Chief Commissioner

The Chief Commissioner of Police leads Victoria Police.

The Chief Commissioner reports to the Minister for Police, the Hon. Anthony Carbines MP.

The Chief Commissioner also works closely with:

Executive Leadership Board

Victoria Police's Executive Leadership Board sets the strategic direction of Victoria Police.

The Executive Leadership Board monitors our:

  • organisational performance
  • determine key priorities and risks, and,
  • manage organisational capacity and capability.

The board is comprised of:

  • Our Chief Commissioner
  • four Deputy Commissioners, and,
  • two Deputy Secretaries.
