Office of the Chief Commissioner of Police
The Victorian Government has appointed Mike Bush CNZM as the next Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police. He will step into the role on 27 June 2025.
Deputy Commissioner Robert Hill APM will serve as Acting Chief Commissioner until that time.
Office of Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations
The Deputy Commissioner Regional Operations is Robert (Bob) Hill, APM
Areas of oversight and management are:
- State Emergencies & Support Command
- The four Regions of Victoria:
- North West Metro
- Southern Metro
- Western
- Eastern.
Office of Deputy Commissioner, Specialist Operations
The Acting Deputy Commissioner Specialist Operations is Chris Gilbert, APM.
Areas of oversight and management are:
- Family Violence Command
- Forensic Services Department
- Legal Services Department
- Road Policing Command.
Office of Deputy Commissioner, Public Safety and Security
The Deputy Commissioner, Public Safety and Security is Wendy Steendam, AM APM.
Areas of oversight and management are:
- Counter Terrorism Command
- Crime Command
- Intelligence and Covert Support Command
- Transit and Public Safety Command
- Taskforce Reset.
Office of Deputy Commissioner, Capability
The Acting Deputy Commissioner Capability is Elizabeth (Libby) Murphy, APM.
Areas of oversight and management are:
- Capability Department
- Media, Communications and Engagement Department (MCED)
- People Development Command (PDC)
- Professional Standards Command (PSC)
- Service Delivery Transformation Command (SDTC).
Office of the Deputy Secretary, Corporate and Regulatory Services
The Acting Deputy Secretary Corporate and Regulatory Services is David Butler.
