Victoria Police’s top 10-charting true crime podcast Police Life: The Experts has returned for season four, hitting a big milestone in the process.

The podcast recently reached the 500,000 downloads mark after having begun with its first season in 2024.

Season four features five episodes that take listeners through the stories of extraordinary work by Victoria Police officers.

Episode one is about how a team of detectives embarked on a four-year investigation to put a rampant social media sextortionist, who exploited dozens of underage victims, behind bars.

In episode two, the pioneering efforts of a small crew of investigators lead to police uncovering and catching one of the most prolific money laundering syndicates in Australian history.

Episode three is the incredible inside story of how Victoria Police Special Operations Group police answered the call of Tasmania Police to help catch and arrest the offender in the Port Arthur tragedy in 1996.

Two country detectives in episode four detail how they helped solve a 35-year-old missing person case that had weighed heavily on the missing man’s family.

Bringing season four to a close is the work of investigators who meticulously pieced together the scant evidence in a fatal hit-run crash to bring a fugitive driver to justice.

The season four episodes add to the back catalogue of 18 episodes in seasons one to three.
