National Remembrance Day and Memorial

National Police Remembrance Day

National Police Remembrance Day is a yearly service to honour our Victoria Police colleagues that have passed away.

National Police Remembrance Day is held on 29 September every year.

About National Police Remembrance Day

On 29 September, we pause to remember the Victoria Police employees who have passed away over the past 12 months.

This date honours the dedicated police officers who have died serving their community. It also allows Victoria Police and the community to pay their respects to Victoria Police employees who have lost their lives over the last 12 months through illness or other circumstances.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation also holds Victoria's Blue Ribbon Day on the same date.

National Police Remembrance Day 2023

National Police Remembrance Day was commemorated on Friday, 29 September 2023 with a metropolitan march and service. Regional services were also held across the state.
