About National Police Remembrance Day
National Police Remembrance Day is held on 29 September every year.
This date honours the dedicated police officers who have died serving their community. It also allows Victoria Police and the community to pay their respects to Victoria Police employees who have lost their lives over the last 12 months through illness or other circumstances.
The Blue Ribbon also holds Victoria's Blue Ribbon Day on the same date.
2022 National Police Remembrance Day services
National Police Remembrance Day was commemorated on Thursday, 29 September 2022 with a metropolitan march and service.
Regional services were also held across the state.
Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance
The Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance is an annual event. It is a national ride from police memorials around the country to the National Police Memorial in Canberra.
Riders head to Canberra's National Police Memorial to remember their mates who have fallen.
Raise money for Police Legacies
The Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance raises money for Police Legacies across Australia.
Victoria Police Legacy use money donated to it to support police families in Victoria who have lost a partner or parent.

Victoria Police Memorial
The National Police Remembrance Day Melbourne service is held at the Victoria Police Memorial.
Opened in 2002 the Victoria Police Memorial is situated in Kings Domain Gardens, Melbourne.
It stands as an ongoing dedication and reminder of the service provided by those killed in the line of duty.
