Use eServices forms to complete your private security licence applications online.
What you need to complete your eServices application
When completing your application online you need to provide details from supporting identity documents. These documents will need to be certified and sent to the Licensing and Regulation Division by post.
You will need:
- a secure email address to receive a completed copy of your application
- personal information including details of ID documents
- details of relevant training
- a printer.
When you have completed your application online, a copy of the application will be sent to the email address you provide in your application.
You will need to print the completed application and send it to the Licensing and Regulation Division by post along with the relevant supporting documents you need to apply.
If you have completed an eServices form and received a confirmation email but the email does not include a PDF of your application form, please contact us and provide the application reference number.
Please do not recomplete or resubmit the form. Our customer support team will contact you to resolve the problem.
Private security licence applications
The following applications must be completed via eServices forms:
New individual private security licence
Use the Private Security Individual Licence Form to apply for a new individual private security licence.
New private security business licence forms
Use the Private Security Business Licence Form for both the sole trader or partnership and the body corporate licence applications.
Forms must be completed in one session, they cannot be saved and returned to later.
Personal information form (PIF)
A PIF should be completed by:
- the nominated person of a body corporate
- all officers of the body corporate
- a sole trader
- all partners in a partnership, and
- any close associates of the business.
This form must be submitted with the related private security business application form.
Current business licence or registration holders can use this form to notify the Licensing and Regulation Division of the details of a new person relevant to the business.
