Crime reports for insurance

Victoria Police provides a service to individuals and organisations wishing to obtain information about property loss or damage that occurred in Victoria and was reported to Victoria Police.

Any person who suffers property damage or property loss may apply for a copy of a report detailing the damage or loss, or may authorise a person to represent them and apply on their behalf.

Victoria Police applies strict guidelines to the release of any information it holds to individuals and organisations.

Crime reports

Subrogation notice

This form is used by insurance companies to notify Victoria Police of a transfer of ownership of stolen goods once an insurance claim has been settled.

Fees

Application fees are updated on 1 July every year in accordance with the Victoria Police (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2014.
